The upcoming AffiliateCon Sofia, initially planned for May 12-13 in Sofia, Bulgaria, has been deferred to the corresponding dates in 2021 because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

This challenging choice follows Bulgaria’s announcement of a state of emergency last Friday, extending until April, in reaction to the worldwide pandemic. Numerous businesses in the gaming and affiliate marketing industries have also implemented limitations on staff travel.

AffiliateCon creator Julian Perry conveyed his regret, mentioning that this year’s gathering, two years in preparation, was poised to be a significant occasion for the sector, with numerous brands committed and countless affiliate firms enrolled.

Considering the World Health Organization’s categorization of a global pandemic, delaying the event was the sole prudent course of action.

Nevertheless, the affiliate community can still leverage the knowledge of several speakers initially slated for this year. AffiliateCon will conduct a virtual conference on May 12, 2020, with additional information to be disclosed soon.

The AffiliateCon team expresses apologies for any disruptions and pledges to make the following year’s event even grander and more impressive.
