A prominent force in the sports wagering industry, Better Collective, recently acquired the Danish soccer news platform, Tipsbladet.dk, for €6.5 million (approximately $6.9 million). This strategic move solidifies Better Collective’s leading position within the Danish sports media sector.
The transaction, fully funded by Better Collective, will be disbursed in three phases. While the acquisition is not anticipated to influence their 2023 financial targets, they foresee a favorable return on investment, estimating an EBITDA multiple below 5 once synergies are realized in 2024.
Tipsbladet, a respected name in sports journalism with a 75-year legacy, has successfully evolved from a conventional print publication to a contemporary online presence. Effective October 2nd, 2023, they will formally integrate into Better Collective, joining their Danish headquarters.
