Aristocrat Leisure has designated Bill Lance to their board as an independent director, with the appointment taking effect immediately. The company confirmed that all required authorizations have been secured.
Mr. Lance brings a wealth of experience and recognition to the role, having held the position of Secretary of Commerce for the Chickasaw Nation for the longest period in its history. His responsibilities included overseeing a 7,000-strong workforce and managing a diverse range of enterprises. Following his departure from this role, he was granted the honorary title of Secretary of State, highlighting his enduring significance to the Nation.
In addition to his contributions to the Chickasaw Nation, Mr. Lance actively participates in numerous national bodies, including holding key positions on the Executive Committees of both the American Gaming Association and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. His expertise also extends to board memberships with the Chickasaw Foundation and the publicly listed company, BancFirst.
Neil Chatfield, Chairman of Aristocrat Leisure, conveyed the company’s excitement, remarking, “We are privileged to have such an accomplished executive join our board.”
His extensive years of expertise, leading a prominent entertainment corporation and serving as a figurehead in Native American tribal administration, will be indispensable to our council.
“I am certain Bill’s viewpoint will assist us in enhancing client support throughout our enterprise. I commend him on his selection and anticipate his input at Aristocrat.”
Aristocrat investors will decide on Lance’s designation as a non-executive administrator at the company’s yearly assembly in February 2023.
This announcement follows Aristocrat’s recent deal to acquire UK-based gaming provider Roxor Gaming.
