Ukraines freshly implemented responsible gaming guidelines are now in force, following their endorsement by the Ministry of Justice last month.
The Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission (KRAIL) initially unveiled these rules in June.
These regulations encompass restrictions on player incentives. Operators are prohibited from offering bonuses to players experiencing financial losses or linking bonuses to such losses.
All players must have the ability to self-exclude and establish deposit limitations. They must also be able to monitor their gambling time.
Operators are obligated to provide staff training in recognizing the indicators of problematic gambling.
The Ministry of Justice granted approval to these rules on August 11th, and they have now been formally registered, taking effect without delay.
Ethical gaming is a fundamental tenet of the gambling sector, highlighting steps to forestall and lessen the adverse effects of individuals partaking in gambling, and urging players to exercise self-discipline and control, KRAIL emphasized.
Adhering to ethical gaming principles will bolster the standing of gambling entities among players.
These rules came into force after Ukraine legalized diverse forms of wagering last year by enacting the “Gambling Law.”
KRAIL has lately been entangled in contention after its former head was apprehended last month, with authorities asserting he received a $90,000 (£65,850/€76,777) payoff in exchange for issuing gambling permits.
